The list of nominees for District Judge, District 23, in Lincoln County has been narrowed to three, the Judicial Nominating Commission has announced.
The JNC conducted in-person interviews with five applicants on June 4. The five individuals who applied for the position include Sarah Lynne Bridge, Joseph Alan Dobry, Emily Jean Mueller, Mark James Pordos and Zachary Allen Privott, all of Chandler.
Following the review process, the JNC has submitted to Gov. Kevin Stitt the following nominees for the position, the JNC said. They include Sarah Lynne Bridge, Joseph Alan Dobry and Mark James Pordos.
Bridge, Pordos and Privott are attorneys in Lincoln County.
The governor has 60 days to appoint an individual to the position. If he does not do so, the Chief Justice of the State Supreme Court will make the appointment.
Mueller currently serves as Special Judge in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties and Dobry, an attorney, ran for the District Judge position in 2022 but lost to former District Judge Traci Soderstrom who resigned Feb. 9, 2024 creating the vacancy.
Soderstrom was suspended in October of 2023 when the State Supreme Court filed a petition seeking her removal from office.
